Not going for a while (maybe in 2009) but just putting it out there. Anyone gone on Safari or hike up Kilimanjaro in Africa and have some good suggestions for what to do, who (company) to go with? Thanks.

  1. I have climbed Kilimanjaro twice — once with a group of friends on the Rongai Route and once with my husband on the Umbwe Route — and I used Adventures Within Reach both times (www.awr.travel). The guides were professional, safe, and knowledgeable, and the prices were very reasonable. We went in a private group, but I know they have group departures as well. We also did a safari, which I highly recommend.

    Good luck!
