However, the cure and prevention for plantar fasciitis is rolling through the back of the lower leg with the footballer (on top of the block for leverage). When you roll through there with the footballer you create elasticity in the posterior tibialis which connects in the arch of the foot. When that muscle gets tight, you get plantar.
